The Spurs' sturdy swingman has shouldered a level of responsibility that's beyond his pay grade this season, but both he and the Spurs hope it will have all been worth it once the cavalry arrives.
Of course! And yes, without question. I wrote about him fairly recently, so I’m trying to space out the pieces on rookies as best I can to keep things balanced. But there’s a lot to discuss with him and the tear he’s been on this month.
I feel like it’s really difficult to say exactly what it will be at this point. It all depends on both his own future development and, quite frankly, who they draft during the next couple of summers. But there’s still plenty of room for improvement in that secondary and tertiary scoring role, especially if he gets his shot back and adds that mid-range element. Would change things considerably.
I know the question was for Matt but I’ll add my unsolicited comments- if he can develop his post game he can play the role of Ron Artest for us on offense- not the focal point but can step up when #1 or #2 options are out or struggling.
He’s already put work on 3pt shot and he will continue to get easy buckets in transition and putback’s due to his activity on the boards.
Thanks for the read! Any chance we’ll hear more about Malaki’s recent stretch sometime soon?

what do you see Keldon's role becoming?
